Tokubetsu honjozo (特別本醸造) takes honjozo — rice with a small amount of brewer's alcohol — and adds a step up: polishing to 60% or a special method stated on the label.
Expect a dry, clean, easy-drinking sake that's light on aroma. It's one of the most versatile styles for warming.
How to drink it: any temperature, but it shines warm (40–50°C).
